The power of advertising....

There's a new ad on the radio. A small child is complaining that he's only getting coal for Christmas because he put bubble bath in the toilet. Guess who was in the car and tried it when we got home?

In the U.S. we had a commercial many years ago where the toilet turned into a monster. Many a child potty training age stopped potty training because of that commercial on TV because they thought the real toilet was going to turn into a green monster. I bet #4 would have tried to potty train just to see when the monster would come out!

I am in awe at his total disregard for the consequences - he loved the idea of the foaming toilet so much it completely passed him by about the coal. If you were so inclined you could cause some real anxieties there!

I had a problem with our toilet, and couldn't get my husband to take it seriously enouth to fix it. It rocked. One night while out with our regular crew for Friday night dinner, I bragged about having the only toilet that was also a rocking chair. I also invited these dear, close friends to try it out. When we got home, every one had followed (caravan style) to our house to try out the wonderful rocking toilet.

My love fixed it the next day.

dark caro syrup for cooking will actually clog the toilet. I don't know why my kids decided to try it or why they chose syrup - but I had to get the plunger involved to get the water to flow again.

We used to joke that my mother's toilet was going to fall through the floor - but my brothers fixed it before that happened.

I love reading your blog - your humor is the best.

Why do children put things down the toilet? They just do.

Re the monster ad, I have problems because poeple keep telling me that tree frogs come up the toilets here. I have to check every time I go.
